This week Ashlyn was still in town from opening her call so she came over for about an hour to talk with us all. She is doing good and was heading back to Hawaii to finish out her time there. Preston sounded upbeat while he was on the phone with all of us. He told us that the lady who would walk 1 1/2 to church wanted to give back the book of mormon and didn't want them to visit her anymore. Preston was upset with that and called her the next morning and told her to let them visit her one more time and that she got to keep the book as a gift. He then bore his testimony and said she told him so would visit with them. She still wants to come to their church but doesn't want to be baptised. His companion struggled with panic attacks that week and it was just mentally exhausting for Preston. While his companion was having a panic attack and said he couldn't breath he had 2 different pictures pop in his head that he had forgot about where he was in situations with 2 different people while they were having a panic attack and in both situations he remembers seeing them both breathing in a paper bag so he ran around his house to find something that would work for his comp got him something and did breathing exercises with him tell he was able to calm down. Preston said he definitely felt guided by the spirit in that moment adn to have to images flash in his mind that he had forgotten about were definitely from the Holy Ghost. They also had zone conference this week and enjoyed the Presidents talk on patients and his wife's on finding joy in the present. He said they were both talks he needed to hear as they have been having a hard time in their area on finding people to teach. He opened up about how he was doing mentally and he was struggling this last week. The Zone leaders were getting on him and his companion about not enough things getting done in their area and he just felt attacked by them and then his companion having his mental problems which kept them inside a lot this last week. It had taken a toll on Preston and he had tears in his eyes quite a few times while we talked through it. He hates being cooped up inside and loves to get out and talk with the people so it's been a struggle. We ended the call and I started to pray and send out texts to please pray for preston in my family as well as put his name in the temple. We also fasted for him this fast sunday and are hoping that helps him and his companion to start to feel better.
