Saturday was another sunny day. It said clouds would move in during the afternoon so we got out to the beach as soon as we could. We headed to NewPort beach with Quin and Dani around 10:30 and stayed there most of the day. With everyone getting burnt the day before we tried to make sure we were extra careful getting the sunscreen on. It was warmer today with a high of 69'. We played, layed, built sand castles, played spikeball, squish ball, and watched dolphins on the beach. We also went down the pier with the kids and watched some people fishing. Brecken and Kai walked across the road and grabbed an ice cream with Quins money. lol. The rest of the kids were jealous so we made them share. Addison and Landon both got in the water. Addison loves the water even though it was freezing, and Landon got in it for the sole purpose of playing with Noa and having to go pee. Kai and Brecken went searching for treasure with their metal detector. They spent hours doing that. Addison finally threw some coins in the sand around her while the boys were off looking and when they came back were so excited to hear a beep. Shaylee is a champ at spikeball and wanted to play with everyone. Whatever team she was on she won. After the beach around 4:00 we were all starving with no lunch so we found an Olive Garden and ate there for the evening. We were all starving and so full when we were done. We returned home and spent the evening watching basketball and finding out if we got more burnt. lol. The clouds started rolling in during the evening hours so the next day was going to be rainy as we made our way home. We woke up early on Sunday and decided to head out asap so we could hopefully beat the traffic. We did so good and didn't have to stop tell mesquite to go pee and get gas. Once we were back on the road we ran into a traffic jam for 45 minutes in mesquite right outside the gorge. Overall the drive home wasn't too bad until then. We had such a fun time and were sad to come home and have our spring break end. We had that next day Monday off for teacher prep day so we were glad to have another lounge day to get back into the swing of things and get laundry done.
the picture below is a pod of dolphins there we about 5 or 6 of them playing around by us for a long time.
