Eves Family Reunion Day #1

Bear Lake 2025
We left for Bear lake on the 16th.  We had to leave later in the day because Dean had some patients to see in the morning.  We finally got on the road around 1/1:30.  We made pretty good time though and ended up at Montpelier around 8:30. It was a long travel day for everyone but we were excited to be there.  Thursday morning was an early one for those who wanted to get out golfing before the day started at the Lake. If you weren't awake for Golf you were awake because they woke you up.  It was a beautiful cool morning and felt good to exercise in that weather.  After golf we had some breakfast and got things ready for the lake.  Devin and Lisa brought their boat up so everyone was pretty excited to get out on that.  We sat up nine square, and brought a paddle board. While we waited for the boat to launch and get to us we had a good game of nine square going.  They put it so high because most of them are tall, not me or Landon.lol. After that  everyone got in the boat for surfing except Steph, me, mom and Dad.  We stayed back to hold down the fort. Steph and I decided to take the paddle board out to the trampolines on the water.  I paddled out to the tramp and then we switched and steph paddled us back.  While we were by the tramp these little kids didn't want us to get on it.  We weren't even going to just to switch our spots on the paddle board.  Well I  got on the trip to switch steph and they start jumping at me as hard as they can. lol.  Needless to say we didn't take over their tramp and headed back into shore.  While they were gone we got everything ready for lunch and all set up.  They came back about 3 hours later all starved.   Addison, Preston, Dean, all surfed and Landon got in the water and tried to figure out the surfboard, but we could not get Brecken in the water.  It seemed everyone had a great time.  Jessica and Chloe even tried and that was chloe's first time ever in a boat.   We all hung out and ate on the beach for a couple hours and then those who wanted to go tubing headed back out. I  was going to go but figured my motion sickness wouldn't do well with tubing as they go in circles over and over and over.  The kids all had a blast thanks to Lisa and Devin.  We sure do love them.  After they were done surfing it started to pick up on the wind so we packed up our canopy and umbrellas and things and headed home.  We were all shot from the lake day, but a few people got in some pickleball and we mostly played games the rest of the night.  Lisa and Devin were in charge of dinner and make tacos that were delicious.
