9 Months

A lot of first for Brecken this month.  First Grocery cart ride, First Real Banana, First Taste of Ice Cream, First Snow man nose eating, First Big Grandpa Monson Cuddle, First time with Great Grandpa and Grandma Williamson, First time to a Jazz game, First time seeing Christmas lights, and First time he saw Snow.  Wow, what a life.  He is such a Wonderful blessing to us, and we are enjoying his spirit in our home...even if it isn't quiet content yet.   I thought for sure he had ruined the older kids on ever wanting kids, but they informed me, they need more brothers, and Sisters, they love Brecken, even if he cries all the time, they want more siblings.  To bad we are done in that department.  I told them they could pull out the big family.  Brecken still loves chewing on everything.  Something is always in his mouth.  Probably why he is always sick.  He loves strings hanging from our jackets or pants.  He is starting to pick up his appetite as far as baby food is concerned.  He eats half in the morning and the other half in the afternoon, and then his rice cereal at night.  His spitting up is getting better.  He still does it enough to still carry burp rags but we are getting there.  He doesn't like his car seat at all and reaffirmed that on our ride up for Thanksgiving.  He also doesn't like texture in his food yet.  He didn't like chunks off banana to chomp on just the pureed stuff.  He sleeps 9-6:30  give or take a 1/2 hour.  We are working on at least 7-7:30 wish us luck.  He loves the Christmas lights, and Tree.  So glad he cant crawl yet.  He is growing to fast.  He is 15.5 lbs, 271/2 " he is 2 % in weight (which is surprising he must carry it all in his cheeks.  and 80% in height.  We love you Brecken, and enjoy watching you learn and grow everyday.

Record Breaking!

Wow!!!  Just looking at these pictures makes me cold.  The sad thing is....all the snow is still here!!! We've had record breaking snow, and temperatures.  COLD!!  It's supposed to warm up above freezing tomorrow.  (here's to hoping).  We have had fun in it though.  We got are first load Wednesday evening.  It didn't have time to melt to much until the next storm moved in Friday night.  It snowed all day Saturday.  I went down to the Dickens Festival with my mom and Sisters, and when we got out it took us over an hour to get home. So not my favorite.  I hate driving in snow, made me sick.  When we got back the kids got in grandpas hot tub, and then moved onto sledding down our road.  The next day was Sunday and they cancelled church.  Never had that happen before.  We had a great family day playing in the snow.  Dean and Preston even shoveled a few walk ways.  Per my request.  I think we all had fun, but I for one am ready for it to MELT!!!

THanksGiving WeekEnd!!

We reached Centerville around 4:00 Wednesday afternoon, 1 hour later we were put to work.  We headed over to the church to set up for the big thanksgiving feast with all of the Monson family, Plus Haldeen's side of the family. (We were also celebrating Grandpa Gunnell's 100th Birthday).  So we had about 60 people coming.  We woke up bright and early to a Beautiful Thanksgiving day.  We started it out with our first annual Monson Family Turkey Trot.  We even got grandma and grandpa to come.  Yay!!  We didn't go to far since we had all the kids.  When we got home grandma and taken time to make the kids cute turkey pancakes.  The kids loved this and put them together quiet fast.  Look how cute they turned out.  We then got ready to head out to the church to get ready for the big day.

It started with eating, then onto a baby blessing, after that we watched a great movie of Grandpa Gunnells life that Grandpa Kirk had put together.  It was really fun to watch.  After We had a Turkey shot.  (Dean was the Turkey) the kids got to through marshmallows at him. Dean also preformed a Boy Named Sue.  We sang Happy Birthday, had birthday cake, the kids preformed for the talent show, we had Grandpa preform the Christmas Dragnet.  After that we did family pictures, and the nativity...plus I'm sure I missed something along the way, but it was so much fun, and a wonderful day.  Grandpa and Grandma Monson always go out of their way to make everything so nice and fun for everyone.  We love them so much and we love to visit them.

The next day Dean, Brecken, and I got up and headed out to do some Shopping.  See what was left over from the night before.  I hate they put shopping on Thursday.  I didn't go to boycott it.  Grandpa Monson said that will make them think about putting it on Thanksgiving day again next year.  Ha Ha.  After so shopping we headed up to see my Grandma and Grandpa Williamson.  the kids Great Grandparents.  I Love seeing them.  They are so much fun to be around, and I'm glad my kids have gotten to know them.  After that we headed back to centerville, for a little more shopping then off to dinner and a Jazz game.  We LOVED the Jazz game.  Everyone did so well.  Even Addison and Brecken who wasn't feeling so well.  We were really high up but it was just fun to be there.  We went with Dean's sister Marie, and her family.

Saturday we had a more slower morning.  It was nice to take it slow.  We did end up getting a lunch and then heading out to go Ice Skating for the first time for me and my family.  Dean showed the kids how, and was a very patient and great teacher.  I set with Brecken, tell about 20 minutes left, then Heidi watched Brecken, while Dean taught me to Ice Skate.  It was great fun, and I loved it.

After Ice Skating we headed down as a family to visit Aunt Stephanie.  We went to dinner, then headed to temple square to see the beautiful lights.  Not to cold, but definitely to busy.  We still had fun being in each other's company.  We headed home early because Brecken had been fighting getting sick, and it hit him really bad that day.  He ended up getting really bad, Dean called in a persciption that night, and I'm so thankful he could do that.  It saved us from going into the ER that night.  We had a great time and enjoyed every ones company.
