Easter Festivities!

 Easter Weekend
2015

Friday morning we headed over to Grandma Eves house to color Easter Eggs with the cousins.  The kids love this tradition.  They love to eat the boiled eggs, as much as they love to color them.  We had fun with the cousins all morning playing outside and coloring eggs.  We then headed to my house to all eat lunch in the backyard.  Grandma bought everyone DQ and we played back there tell it got hot, and Breck went down for a nap.

Saturday morning bright and early we headed out to the Hurricane Easter Egg hunt.  Preston and Shaylee are to old for it know, but Addison and Brecken were still able too.  We made it just in time for the hunt.  Brecken didn't know exactly what was happening, but after while he figured it out.   We then headed over to Grandma and Grandpa Eves to have our Annual Easter Egg hunt, BBQ, and Swim.  My sister Stephanie made it down from up North, and my other Sister Lisa made it in from New Mexico.  It was so fun to all be together for Easter.  We were just missing Justin, Katie and girls, and Uncle Matt.  The weather was a little cold in the morning, but after the sun was out it warmed up really nice.  All the girls went outside to hide the eggs from the kids, and then the Hunt began.  Brecken understood a little more this time around and ended up with plenty of eggs.  All the kids had plenty of eggs.  After the Egg Hunt we had our lunch, and then out to the pool.  Grandpa and Grandma had heated the pool to in the 90's so it was nice and warm.  Brecken LOVED the water, he was going down the slide, the rock, and just jumping in.  He was a little fish, which is good since the other kids are as well.  We had so much fun being with family for the day, and just relaxing.  We ended the day with the priesthood session, and Hop the movie for the kids.  Great Memories were made this Easter Weekend.

Women's Conference!!

We were so excited that Addison got to join us this time for the General Women's Conference.  It is so fun for me to spend some good quality time with my girls listening to the leaders of our church testimonies, and talks.  We were able to talk Aunt Lisa, Aunt Marci, and my Mom into coming with us.  We then went to DQ afterwards and had to of course get an ice-cream.  I hope my girls are gaining a testimony of this gospel, and I know it's still hard to sit that long for them, but they both did well.  I love this church and am so happy I got to spend some time with girls in the family.

St. Patricks Day

St. Patricks day was pretty busy so we fit in what "green" fun we could.  We started the morning off with Green smoothies, spinach (Green) eggs, and toast.  We then dressed in our green clothes, and a fun green necklace, that aunt Heidi, and her kids made for us.  I was in such a hurry I didn't get a picture, but the kids loved them and were sure excited to wear them.  They had a little bottle on the necklace and in the bottle it was full of green nerds.  Simple, but cute.  After the kids went off to school Brecken and I headed to story time, and read some fun St. Patrick day books, and learned about leprechauns.  We then made a shamrock necklace with a piece of gold on it that we found from the leprechaun.  Of course, Brecken found out there was chocolate in it and then it was all down hill from there, that poor necklace didn't stand a chance.  Preston was gone all day that day from piano to basketball to scouts, so I didn't get a picture of him in his clothes and dinner, but I got the girls.   For dinner we had pesto chicken so it looked green.  Spinach which everyone of my kids like, except for Preston, Grilled red potatoes, and a Green salad.  It was fun to celebrate this holiday with the kids even if it was some simple things.
