Right when we got back from spring break we learned that Preston's mission call had come. One of his best friends had come the same day. I started prepping, and Preston went to school and had a tennis match. Peston and Nate had to play a good team from Dixie that day. They did awesome and took them to 3 sets but ended up losing to them. It should be a fun season for these boys. I was a ball of nerves all day, and Preston was as well. We opened at 8:30 so that would give most of the sports people time to come...(we missed some of the boys from the soccer team, they had games that go tell 9:30). We ran across the street to Payton's house and heard where he was going. He was called to serve in the Mexico, Mexico City Mission and leave July 25 spanish speaking. Then everyone went from Payton's over to our house where we tried our best to wait for family that was running late, but Preston couldn't wait anymore. So we started and they straggled in. He is called to Serve in the Paraguay, Asuncion mission. Spanish Speaking. I was so shocked. I for sure that state side or Canada. He leaves July 18 well he starts home MTC July 18th for 2 weeks and then he heads out to the Mexico MTC for the rest of his training. He is excited because a few his best friends will be at the Mexico MTC while he is there. I'm so proud of him and his testimony he has. He will be a great missionary and I'm excited to watch him learn and grow. We all cried that night, but I think Landon took it the hardest...he didn't want Preston to leave home. I told him he still had time to stay with us and then would come back when he was ready to be baptized. He got excited for that. I love my family and this gospel so much and am so blessed.

Spring Break
Spring Break was a mix of a little bit of everything. The first of Spring break we had Tennis tournaments and our cousin Kai's baptism. We spent some time with family and watching Preston play tennis. His partner was out of town so one of his best friend's got to fill in and play with him. Trey and Preston did great. they won 3 and lost 1. They got to go to a championship game in the silver bracket and won a medal there. Everyone won a medal from Hurricane except for one person. So we had a good showing. I also had to coach soccer for Landon's team. He is a great little soccer player and they won by 4-0 I do believe. Landon scored 3 or maybe 4. lol. After we got through those activities we spent some time outside in some amazing weather playing pickleball and hanging with family and friends. On Thursday it was St. Patrick's day and the leprechaun came we then had to head out that morning for up north to look for a prom dress for Shaylee and visit family. We stayed with mom monson and went to dinner with her and watched the Jazz game. The next day we went and visited the Belnaps (my cousin Lea and her family). Their dog just had puppies so the kids were all in heaven holding them. We then stopped by to visit grandma Hannah and my parents. Grandma had a flood so they have been redoing her house for the last month. So we came to see the progress they had made. We went to like 7 different stores before we finally found a dress at David's Bridal. Shaylee didn't want any frills, glitter, ruffles, sequins, puff, lace, you name it she didn't want it. So the lady kindly told us "honey you don't want a prom dress then...you want a plain and simple bridesmaid dress. We found our dress within 5 minutes of entering the store and Shaylee is so excited about it. After we found the dress we headed back home so that Preston could make it back in time for work the next day. Even though we didn't do anything to big or any vacations for spring break we still had a great time. (our spring break trip is at the end of April..we are going to california and disneyland with the Wheelers, and Larsens).

Addison's First Track meet
Addison decided to try Track this spring season and so far has loved it. She wanted to do more of the longer distances, and Javelin. She has made some friends, and has learned a lot. Can't wait to watch her this season.
REC TEAM VS. HHS TEAM
Preston's rec team had a ball game against the Hurricane High school senior's team. They actually made it really fun/funny and treated it like an all star game or something like that. They did half court shots, tried dunks, refs may have shot it a couple times, just over all was fun to watch. They ended up losing by a basket at the last second. These boys sure do have fun together and it's been fun to watch them.
