Home MTC first week

Shaylee was set apart June 29th after her farewell and started home MTC early Monday morning June 30th.  She didn't mind the classes for the most part but did say the days were long sitting at a computer all day.  In between classes if there was a big break we went to the mall, or we would go to Deseret Book, we would do fizz runs, and invite all the friends and aunt Stephanie over each night to play games and hang out.  4th of July she had to still do classes so we had her tag along for some of our activities.  She definitely was done when July 9th came around.  We did a couple temple trips one being the night before she was to leave for the MTC we had Addison watch the boys around the temple and then we all met up at Red Lobster for dinner.

4th of July

The 4th was kind of low key this year.  We had a missionary who had lessons, and classes all day so we wanted to be there to support her, but also do somethings for the 4th.  We woke up early while Shaylee was in her classes and we went to the parade.  The boys caught all the candy 2 full bags to be exact.  It was actually not that bad of a day and we were not sweating our backsides off.  After the parade we waited tell Shaylee had a break and headed down to Lisa's for a 4th of july bbq and swim party.  Shaylee still had classes so we left her inside in the air conditioning to get to work while we all hung out outside.  I'm sure she wasn't feeling left out at all (sarcastic voice right there).  We played corn hole, ate all the yummy food, and of course swam.  The water was a tad warm because hello St. George, but we all hung out in it and played.  After about 4 hours Shaylee had another break so we were able to drive home and get ready for the next lesson.  We were all kind of tired from the pool, but the boys wanted to light some fireworks so Preston and Dean took the boys over to 3 falls to light off and watch some fireworks.  Shaylee didn't feel up for fireworks and wanted to go to bed so I stayed home with her to be her companion.  Addison went with friends to the fireworks.  It was a chill day with family, but we did miss the centerville parade.
