We woke up bright and early to get to our waterfalls. We were out the door by 4:30, and didn't think we were going to make it to see the sunrise at lookout point so we bagged that and decided to see bridal falls which gets so packed when the day gets going. We made it there and we were one of the only ones on the trail and in the parking lot. The hike was really short which we knew that's why we decided to hurry and fit it in before we went to the bigger falls. We were all a little chilly since the sun hadn't came out yet but it wasn't to bad. We got done with that hike in under 30 minutes and then cruised over to the popular spots to try and snag a parking spot before it got too crowded. We found a spot but it took us awhile to find the trail head to mist falls or nevada falls and upper yosemite falls. Once we did we were cruising to beat the crowds. Which wasn't to bad, but still more people then I thought. We had to walk more then a mile just to get to the trail head from our car and then the hike was another 6. We got to the waterfall and it was crowded, but we were able to get to the top and got wet from the mist on the way. It was like you were standing in a shower. I was so proud of all the kids for making it. It was a very straight up hike, but they did so well. Once we made it to the top most people turned around there, but we were going on to the upper falls as well. We stopped and rested for a bit and then headed out again for the next falls. This trail was in the forest more with and then rock boulders you had to climb. We made it to the base of the second falls and Addison decides she is done and didn't want to hike up to the top of these falls. We leave the little boys with her and start our decent straight up boulders and switch backs. I told Dean and Preston to head on up while I rested and then about 6 minutes later I started back up again. I made it to the top and called Dean. (we finally had service at the top of the mountain because cell service isn't obstructed up there. He came and told me which way to go and we stayed up there for another 10 minutes or so. While we were getting ready to hike back down we ran into the last of our crew. They decided to make it up. I was so excited and proud of them. We spent the next 30 minutes walking around up by the upper falls and eating our snacks and relaxing in the sun. We then headed back down. We made great timing coming down until we got to mist falls again. Then we were back up shoulder to shoulder with people coming up and down. It was slow there for awhile but when the trail opened up we booked it through. We hiked/walked 7 miles and got to our car to blow up tubes to then float the river. We took a much needed break and at our pbj sandwiches for lunch then got to work with the rafts. We thought it was full and busy when we got there, but the amount of cars trying to find parking was insane. All the roads were backed up and while we ate lunch everyone kept rolling down their windows and asking us if we were leaving. So they could have our spot. Once we were done with rafts and lunch We put them in the river close to our car and decided we would float the river tell a certain point get out and put all our stuff up against the side of the river and go hike another waterfall trail then take the shuttle back to the rafts were Preston and I would pick them up and meet Dean with our car back at the next shuttle drop off. We had a great time and the water was cold but felt good that day. We were out of gas so had to drive forever out of our way to get gas because it was the closest stop. We then headed home which was over an hour away. Everyone was so tired a feel asleep. There was this pizza shop by our Place so we stopped there on our way home and watched the world cup while we ate dinner. We were all excited for the world cup and were glad we got ot watch the first games. We got home showered and crashed for the night.
