Basketball summer games

The day after we got back from our trip we went straight into practice and games for the basketball summer games.  We didn't have a big team, but we had some good players.  We started play on Thursday in cedar where we had two games  one at 1:00, and then again at 4:00. We won both games that day.  The both were by quiet a bit.   The next day we had 3 games one at 11:00, 3:30, and 7:00.  Brecken had a tennis tournament that night so Dean and Brecken left after the second game. The first game was a easy win. The second game was with no power.  So we had to keep score and time by phones and stopwatches.  We luckily had skylights in our gym so we were able to see.  The power outage happened before our game and was still out when we left.  Landon and I  grabbed dinner and did some shopping while we waited for our last game of the day.   We played a team from up north.  It was a good game, but we ended up winning by at least 20.  We would play for our first game saturday around 11:00 that was to get into the gold game,  We won that one fairly easy and played for the gold medal at 2:00.  This game was against the first team we played and it was our best match up and team.  We knew it would be hard.  We went back and forth most of the game, but we stayed in the lead tell the last 5 minutes and then we were down by a basket.  With a minute left benson on our team throw up a 3 and it went in.  We were ahead with a minute to spare.  They then fouled us and we got our free throws.  We ended up winning by 3.  It was a fun game and i'm so excited this team came away with the gold.
