Hurricane High schools tennis coach put on a Tennis tournament for middle school age kids. 12-15. We were so excited we signed up the first minute we saw it open up. I was up at basketball summer games for the first half, but my sister Steph went and took video and pictures, and Dean went as well. They said it was so hot the first half everyone was dying. Brecken played a girl in our ward that is the same age in the first match and won. 6-0. His second match he was going to have to play a harder kid one year older than him. Brecken ended up beating dawson 6-2. He was in the finals against a kid named Benson for the gold medal or first place spot. It was 9:00 when the match started and Landon and I had just made it in time to watch. Preston had just came down that night with his friends and they all came to watch before playing pickleball. It was so fun to watch him play in a match not against family. He didn't let it get to his head it was his first time playing and he really was chill and calm. He had a great match and it went back and forth a couple times. He ended up winning the whole thing and a first place medal. He was pretty excited even though his emotions about stayed the same. lol. We are so proud of him for keeping up with tennis. We know of course it's because of coach Rhade that he loves it, and are excited to see how continuing to improve. Great Job Brecken!
