Fall Break in Idaho

We left Wednesday Oct 8th for the Monti to spend our fall break in some cooler mountain weather and be with family.  We arrived in Provo that night and dropped some stuff off at Prestons place and looked around since we had not been in it before.  We then got a dinner with Preston and his roomates at Canes (it was so busy).  We had to take it to go because there was no seating.  After dinner we headed up the canyon the rest of the way to Montpellier.  While we were driving the long drive we told the boys no electronics so we listened to Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's stone Audiobook.  They weren't too happy and kept saying they didn't like it, but I  thought it was a fun listen and I  could tell the boys were listening and engaged even if they said they hated it.  We arrived around 10 :30 at night.  The next Morning Thursday the girls went out and idd our exercise while Dean, Grandpa and the boys hit up the course in the early hours.  We walked about 3 miles with the girls then I  got home and walked the rest of the course with the boys.  We had a lunch and then our real tee times were for around 3:00.  We had a family golf game and all had a blast the weather was a lot warmer than I  was expecting and I  was dying of heat with my sweater and pants.  Lisa made us sisters to a tick tock to one of the new T swift songs and then we had tacos for dinner that night and played games and pickleball tournaments.  Friday morning we did the same thing.  Girls 3 mile walk boys golf course.  Landon and Dean were in heaven having a course in their backyard to just hope on.  We then had a chill day with weather coming and going with rain.  We got out again on the course and had a blast playing teams.  Boys against girls.  We then watched the BYU game which was on a Friday night we had dinner and we made Hamburger and hot dogs with chips, dip, fries, fruit and salads.  We played games inside since it was raining and watched the game.  It came down to the wire.  I  didn't think we would pull it off.  But BYU got the win.  The next morning Saturday was rainy and snow mix we were inside just chilling and playing games.  Some of the boys tried to get in some golf, and then it down poured and we all had to run back to the house and got soaking wet.  Later it cleared up a little for us to go look for treasure on the beach and parks with our metal detector.  We didn't have any luck at the beach but the sky was sure pretty.  The park was a lot better and we ended up with. 92 cents we found.  We then went and ate at one of our favorite pizza places as well as tried to find a place that had some raspberry shakes available.  We then headed home for the night to get ready to leave the next day.  We woke up to rain and snow in the mountains. We cleaned and got everything brought in that was heavy for Grandpa and Grandma so they could lock up the cabin for the winter.  We hit the road about 10:30 and on the way down the canyon we were able to see some skiffs of snow in the mountains and it was beautiful. We finished off book 1 of Harry Potter and then started on book 2 the Chamber of secrets.  Such a fun and relaxing weekend.
